Commentary Vandervank has chosen as main character of this scene something almost anecdotal; next to don Quixote, who is attacking the wineskins, appears Dorotea, turning her head to avoid seeing don Quixote; "que vió quan corta y sutilmente estaba vestido, no quiso entrar á ver la batalla de su ayudador" (35:1).
Dorotea´s figure (designed with an spiral movement) is excellently-drawn and engraved.
In the background, Sancho, the innkeeper (both gesticulating), the priest and Cardenio.
Drawing and engraving are excellent.
Notes 1 - Same plate first engraved for London: Tonson, 1749, now partially-erased (as used in 1766 too).
2 - Plate 12.
