Commentary | In the foreground, don Quixote fallen on the ground and defeated by the Knight of the White Moon.
In the background, don Antonio, Sancho, the viceroy and others. Set on Barcelona beach (port and galley). Same composition used since Savery (Dordrecht: Savery, 1657). Drawing and engraving are poor. |
