Commentary | Don Quixote attacks Maese Pedro's theater and puppets; Sancho, Maese Pedro(?) and others observe him.
Illustration with good details (tapestry with Venus and Cupid in the theater, Maese Pedro's monkey on a beam, the boy with a stick, Melisendra and don Gaiferos' puppets...). Drawing and engraving are acceptable, but with disproportions. |
Notes | 1 - Copy after London: Hodgkin, 1687 with a new vertical format; notice the new upper curtain.
2 – After Savery’s plate (Dordrecht: Savery, 1657). |
