Commentary The scene has been resolved with a good narrative composition; the barber taking the books from the shelves, the priest reading them, the niece piling them up and the housekeeper throwing them through the window to the courtyard.
The figures of the priest, reading with attention, and the housekeeper are quite remarkable.
Good drawing and engraving.
