Commentary Well-known scene; don Quixote knighted by the innkeeper, who holds a book; also doña Molinera, doña Tolosa (with don Quixote's sword) and the boy with a candle.
The scene has been represented inside the inn.
Figures without naturalism.
Notes Copy after Francesco Novelli's plate III for Venice: Alvisopoli, 1818 (and 1819); Berselli's illustration is larger, but he has only enlarged the setting and separate the figures, so the result is disproportionate.
Novelli copied it partially from Madrid: Ibarra, 1780.
