Commentary | Well-known scene; don Quixote, asleep and with a blanket around his arm, attacks the wineskins while the innkeeper catches his arm to stop him; the barber and the priest enter into the room.

Copy after Francesco Novelli's plate XIII for Venice: Alvisopoli, 1818 (and 1819); Sancho and Dorotea(?)'s figures have been eliminated. The night light effect has been copied badly. Novelli copied it partially and simplified from Paris: Didot, 1799. |
