Commentary Don Quixote and Sancho kneel before three peasant girls; Sancho introduces one of them to don Quixote as the enchanted Dulcinea.
Well-known scene.
Excellent drawing and engraving.
Very expressive faces, almost like caricatures.
Remarkable and highly-detailed ornamental frame; it includes elements about Dulcinea (flowers, pearl collars, incense...) and about Aldonza Lorenzo (garlics, onions...).
Notes 1 - Same illustration first appeared in Tours: A. Mame, 1848.
2 - Printed on China paper.
