Commentary | At the inn courtyard, the innkeeper knights don Quixote, knelt before him. Also doña Tolosa (with a sword), doña Molinera (with the spurs) and the boy holding a candle.
Well-known scene, previously represented; now, it becomes "Spanish" and realistic (see detailed inn). Forced drawing and some details are not very correct (don Quixote and innkeeper's figures); the illustration as a whole is good. The realistic figure of the boy holding a candle is remarkable. |
