	Commentary	Sancho reunites with his donkey after deciding to leave Barataria Island and his government. Very tender image; drawing and engraving are highly detailed to represent Sancho's sad expression; also for the head of his donkey. Masterly illustration.
	Notes	"... la imagineria quijotesca creada por Gustavo Doré es la más extraordinaria que se conoce. Sus tipos de Don Quijote y Sancho son inolvidables; [...] Y lo mismo puede decirse de Sancho el bueno, el simple, desengañado de sus delirios de grandeza, después que hace un momento acaban de pasar por encima de sus costillas todos los innumerables enemigos de la ínsula Barataria. Ahí está, agarrándose, por fin, como a una tabla de salvación -una vez constatada la inanidad de sus ilusiones-, a la sumisa y afectuosa cabezota de su amado Rucio, y diciéndole con lágrimas de arrepentimiento: «!Venid vos acá, compañero mío y amigo mío y conllevador de mis trabajos y miserias¡...»" (GG234-236).
