Commentary | Sancho, after being pinched and smacked, seizes a torch to hit the dueñas; at this moment, Altisidora "resurrects" and don Quixote, believing it to be true, kneels before Sancho begging him to begin to whip himself to disenchant Dulcinea.
Excellent drawing and engraving; Sancho's figure, with a perfectly-resolved movement, is very worth-noting. |
