Commentary | In the foreground, Sancho knelt before the Duchess, on horseback and holding a goshauk and accompanied by the Duke and another servant.
In the background, don Quixote, only sketched and undetailed. Drawing and engraving are quite acceptable as a whole; the most remarkable figure is the Duchess' horse, excellent; the Duchess' face is quite undetailed. Well-known scene; composition with little novelty. |
