Commentary | Cervantes' portrait sat at a table, holding a quill and writing.
In the background, a library with books behind a curtain. Drawing and engraving are quite acceptable, although the image results forced (notice the right hand, the face...). |
Notes | 1 - After Cervantes' portrait designed by William Kent for London: Tonson, 1738; now, Cervantes' left hand is clearly-visible.
2 - Also in vol. II. |
