Commentary | Don Quixote awaking Sancho, who is still holding his bota; the night before Sancho had drunk quite wine during dinner, falling asleep and sleeping deeply during all the night.
In the background, Rocinante and Sancho's donkey kicking. Original choice; the previous scene (don Quixote fighting with the windmills) has not been represented. Tender scene. Drawing and engraving are excellent. |
