Commentary | Don Quixote, Sancho, the Duke, Duchess and doña Rodríguez observe Trifaldín's arrival.
Accurate to Cervantes' text, Trifaldin appears veiled and with three musicians (two playing drums and one a fife); all in mourning robes. Accurate to Cervantes' text too, Sancho has been represented hidden behind the Duchess; very remarkable image of Sancho. Drawing and engraving are excellent. |
