Commentary | In the center of the composition, don Quixote stopping the dispute about the barber basin and the packsaddle (Agramant's camp).
In the foreground, Sancho with the barber (right) and don Fernando (left). In the background, the priest trying to separate two fighters (right). Excellent drawing and engraving; detailed figures in the foreground and sketched in the background. Basic composition; it can be compared with Savery's (Dordrecht: Savery, 1657). |
