Commentary | Well-known scene; the illustration has been resolved with quite little novelty and it follows a composition used since Dordrecht: Savery, 1657.
In the foreground, don Quixote has fallen defeated by the Knight of the White Moon on the beach of Barcelona; Sancho arrives to help him. In the background, don Antonio Moreno and the viceroy on horseback. Drawing and engraving are good. |
