Commentary | Sixth and last illustration in this edition about El Curioso Impertinente.
Alsemo, while writing a letter about his own story, dies; the corpse is found by a friend "y hallóle tendido boca abajo, la mitad del cuerpo en la cama y la otra mitad sobre el bufete, sobre el cual estaba con el papel escrito y abierto, y él tenía áun la pluma en la mano" (1:35). Accurate to Cervantes' text. |
