Commentary | Don Quixote, at the highest speed Rocinante was capable of, sets out to meet the lacquey Tosilos; also Sancho, servants and soldiers.
It has been represented almost the same scene and the same composition than in the previous headpiece (notice the soldier with a flag, the one with a lance, the palace in the background with an awning for the Duke and Duchess, the same perspective...). Now, in color, Sancho without gesticulating, Tosilos appears and Rocinante's gallop worse represented. |
