Commentary Well-known scene; before the view of their village, Sancho kneels down and exclaims: "Abre los ojos, deseada patria, y mira que vuelve a tí Sancho Panza, tu hijo, si no rico, muy bien azotado" (2:72). Don Quixote on Rocinante.
For Pellicer it is an opportunity to represents the colors of La Mancha and its dry landscape. Also some picturesque details, as the children. 
Notes 1 - It has been used a variety of chromolithography known as oleography to imitate an oil painting.
