Commentary In Sierra Morena, don Quixote gives his blessing to Sancho before the squire leaves for El Toboso.
Very original choice; traditionally, from the same chapter, it is represented don Quixote beginning his penance (more comical); this scene results more solemn.
Very accurate representation; notice don Quixote covering his eyes and the broom bunch on the right; "Y cortando algunas [retamas], pidió la bendición á su señor, y no sin muchas lágrimas de entrambos se despidió dél" (25:1).
Excellent drawing/etching style.
