Commentary Don Quixote leaves the inn "enchanted" into a cage on an ox-cart and the innkeeper's wife and her daughter pretend to be very afflicted.
Also in the scene, the barber, the priest, the carter and the officers of the Holy Brotherhood.
Ricardo de los Ríos' drawing/etching style is excellent; notice the use of short etching lines.
Remarkable and very detailed setting.
Notes 1 - Same illustration first published in London: J. C. Nimmo and Bain, 1880.
2 - Placed as frontispiece.
