Commentary In a rocaille frame with ears of wheat (allusive to Dulcinea), don Quixote, Sancho, Rocinante and the donkey.
In the background, a flock of sheep (allusive to episode 18:1) and a windmill/giant (allusive to episode 8:1). These elements are taken from Coypel's illustration "Don Quichotte conduit par la Folie..." (Paris: Surugue, s.1724).
