Commentary | The innkeeper's wife and her daughter (or Maritornes) pretend to be very afflicted when don Quixote leaves the inn enchanted into a cage on an ox-cart.
Also two of the pretended enchanters (officers disguised) and the carter. Remarkable drawing; notice the realistic figure of the carter, resolved with notable naturalism. |
