Notable illustration; notice don Quixote's gesture and Sancho's expression; the whole scene is resolved with these two elements. Remarkable use of wood engraving to create effective black and white contrasts; notice the use of very fine lines. Notice that Ricart's signature ("R") is taken by a hen in his beak. |
