Commentary Don Quixote is surprised by a flock of birds when he tries to descend into Montesinos' cave.
Sancho Panza and the bachelor's cousin hold the rope to which don Quixote is tied.
The lack of expressions makes this illustration quite unconvincing.
Drawing and engraving are poor.
Notes 1 - Photomechanical copy of the illustration appeared in Amberes: Verdussen, 1672-73 (same plate by unknown engraver first used for Brussels: Mommarte, 1662, which was a copy after Savery's illustration for Dordrecht: Savery, 1657).
