Commentary Don Quixote attacks Maese Pedro's theater while several astonished witnesses observe him.
Maese Pedro appears from under the theater.
Theatrical gestures, but without force.
This composition, with not many changes, will be used until the 20th century.
Notes 1 - Photomechanical copy of the illustration appeared in Amberes: Verdussen, 1672-73 (same plate by anonymous engraver first used for Brussels: Mommarte, 1662, which was a bad copy after Savery's illustration for Dordrecht: Savery, 1657).
