Commentary | In Sierra Morena, don Quixote makes some somersaults (love penance) before Sancho leaves for El Toboso mounted on Rocinante; the squire holds a broom bunch (accurate to Cervantes' text).
Well-known scene and composition since Savery (Dordrecht: Savery, 1657). Drawing and engraving are quite poor. |
