Commentary Centrifugal composition (more movement) where don Quixote attacking the theater and puppets is the center and the other figures form a "V".
On the left, the innkeeper and others.
On the right, Sancho, the broken theater and others.
Maese Pedro appears from inside the broken theater and his servant, who was telling don Gaiferos' tale, running away.
Theatrical and baroque composition; all the characters appear looking at the viewer and a large curtain has been placed as background.
Drawing and engraving are quite poor.
Notes 1 – Copy after Cars' plate with Coypel's design for Paris: Compagnie des Libraires, 1732 (also reprinted and copied for different editions in 1733, 1741 and others).
2 - Turned copy with a new vertical format and light changes after Coypel’s illustration (Paris: Surugue, c. 1723).
