Commentary | Vanderbank emphasizes with his composition the four main characters:
Dorotea knelt down before don Fernando, who let Luscinda go with Cardenio. The narration is developed through gestures and looks. In the background, the priest, the barber and Sancho. Foreground figures are excellently-drawn and engraved. Drawing and engraving are masterly. |
