Commentary | At don Quixote's library (seen through the window), the priest reading don Quixote's chivalry books to decide which ones can be saved; meanwhile, the housekeeper throws through the window the ones that must be burnt.
In the courtyard, the barber also reading some of the books while the niece stokes up the fire with a pair of bellows. Also a boy holding some books. Original composition and quite good drawing. |
