Commentary Two different scenes in the same illustration (archaic):
In the background (seen through a balcony), don Quixote and Sancho arrive to their village and encounter one hare (bad omens about Dulcinea according to don Quixote).
In the foreground, don Quixote talking with the priest and the bachelor Sansón Carrasco about his plans for pastoral life; don Quixote's arms hanged on the wall.
Simple drawing and clumsy engraving.
Notes 1 – Same wooden block first cut for Barcelona: Juan Jolis, 1755, copied after Madrid: Antonio Sanz, 1735.
