Commentary | Well-known scene since Savery (Dordrecht: Savery, 1657); the same composition with two levels, but now don Quixote appears in the foreground. At the bottom, Grisóstomo's burial is prepared (we do not see the corpse, just his coffin). Don Quixote, Sancho, Ambrosio, Vivaldo and other shepherds. On the top, Marcela appears over a rock. She speaks to don Quixote, but it should be to Ambrosio.
