Commentary | In the center of the composition, don Quixote embracing Sancho.
On the left, the Duke and servants. On the right, the Duchess and servants with Sancho's donkey. Theatrical and well-balanced composition; court scene suitable to Coypel's style (Ionic columns gallery, detailed architectures, fountains, rich clothes...). Good drawing and engraving. |
