Commentary | Don Quixote, knelt at the inn courtyard, is knighted by the innkeeper, holding a sword and a book; several guests of the inn witness the scene, among them, a boy holding a candle and two party girls (doña Molinera and doña Tolosa, in the foreground with their backs to the viewer).
Don Quixote's arms remain placed on a water trough. Well-known scene. Caricature/sketching style; good for a yound readers' edition. |
