Commentary | In the foreground, don Quixote prepared to fight with the lion, which remains into its cage although the lionkeeper has opened it.
In the background, Sancho and don Diego de Miranda (or carter) flee away. Drawing and engraving are quite acceptable, but the composition is well-known. |
