Commentary | Well-known scene with the four main characters: don Quixote, knelt down, the innkeeper, doña Tolosa and doña Molinera.
All the figures in the foreground; as background, an architecture with certain deficiencies in its perspective. Remarkable light and shadow contrasts. The quality of the drawing and engraving is not the same for all the figures; the woman on the left is quite remarkable (dress, face...), but don Quixote's figure looks unfinished, without details. |
