Commentary | Two well-known scenes in one plate (archaic).
In the background, the first one: don Quixote attacking the windmills (with disproportionate sails). In the foreground, the second one: don Quixote fighting with the Basque. Illustration with little quality; the perspective has been resolved badly (notice the carriage, too small); don Quixote's figure is completly covered by his shield; the mule and Rocinante do not express any kind of movement. |
