Commentary | Don Quixote and Sancho kneel down before the enchanted Dulcinea, accompanied by two other peasant girls.
The image has been resolved following Bouttat's illustration (Amberes: Verdussen, 1672-73), but now it only appears one scene; Dulcinea running away has been eliminated. Good drawing and engraving. In the background, a view of El Toboso with its church. |
Notes | 1 - The plate is not signed by any illustrator.
2 - This illustration has been included following the program created by Savery (Dordrecht: Savery, 1657) and Bouttats (Amberes: Verdussen, 1672-73). |
