Commentary | Duchess´ maidens soap don Quixote's beard and the knight remains in this way waiting for another maiden who has to bring more water.
On the left, one maiden laughs because of the deceit. The Duke and the Duchess observe the scene. Superb mannerist architecture. Excellent drawing and engraving. |
