Commentary In the center of a large room, the main group of characters: don Quixote, sat on the floor ("se sentó en mitad de la sala en el suelo, molido", 62:2) and pushing away two ladies who try to help him ("Fugite partes adversae"; 62:2).
Also Sancho, trying to help his master, don Antonio Moreno and two servants. This group is surrounded by several persons present at the ball, some of them disguised, and musicians.
Superb setting; detailed representation of a 18th century French court ball.
Drawing and engraving are masterly.
