Commentary | On the left, don Quixote and Sancho knelt down before the enchanted Dulcinea and her two "maidens"; the three peasant girls on muleback on the right.
The composition of this illustration can be compared with the one for Madrid: Ibarra, 1780, although both images are different. The plate is acceptable as a whole, but drawing and engraving are not too much good in detail (notices the faces). |
