Commentary | In the center, the barber Maese Nicolás declaring before the mocked barber that the basin is Mambrino's helmet.
On the left, don Quixote seizes Sancho, who wants to recuperate the stolen packsaddle. The priest and several characters (don Fernando, officers of justice...) observe the scene. English picturesque setting; some anecdotal details (dog). Drawing and engraving are quite good; remarkable use of aquatint and hand-coloring. |
