Commentary Don Quixote asleep into Montesinos' cave "dreaming" that Montesinos shows him Belerma's procession.
Montesinos and Belerma with her retinue have been drawn and engraved as transparent figures; very remarkable.
The ambiguity of the scene (real or dreamt) has been resolved with originality.
Notes 1 - Same plate first engraved for Paris: Chez Marlin, 1830.
