Commentary | The scene has been resolved with certain novelty; it does not only appears don Quixote's well-known image attacking and destroying the theater, but also Maese Pedro knelt and embracing don Quixote's leg to stop him.
Maese Pedro should wear a patch. Don Quixote's elongated figure is ridiculous. Not many characters: don Quixote, Maese Pedro, Sancho and other figure in the background (the bachelor's cousin?). Good drawing and engraving. |
