Commentary In the foreground, don Quixote and Sancho blindfolded and mounted on Clavileño; several Duke's servants simulate its flight with torches and bellows.
In the background, the Duke, Duchess and the veiled "dueñas".
French setting that reminds Coypel's style.
Drawing and engraving are quite acceptable.
Notes 1 - Copied after Daniel Berger's engraving for the Genealogischer Kalendar (Berlin: 1771; German edition).
2 - Unsigned.
