Commentary | Don Quixote, enchanted into a cage, is taken out of the inn by enchanters (don Fernando, the innkeeper and others, all disguised) and placed on an ox-cart.
Quite acceptable engraving, but not remarkable. |
Notes | 1 - First copied for Madrid: Vega, 1804 after Antonio Rodríguez' illustration for Madrid: Imprenta Real, 1797.
2 - Before this illustration, there were two other plates in 1797 edition: "Pide permiso D. Quixote a la figurada Infanta Micomicona para socorrer al ventero" and "Renuevase en la venta la discordia del campo de Agramante"; they have not been included in 1804 and 1840 editions. |
