Commentary | Don Quixote charges against the barber who, to run away, jumps down from his mule; in the background, Sancho appears gesticulating.
The illustration has been drawn and engraved with excellent quality; notice don Quixote's face, the barber's expression and the movement of Rocinante. John Vanderbank (London: Tonson, 1738) represented a latter moment of this episode. |
