Commentary | During the night at the inn, Maritornes (one-eyed; accurate to Cervantes' text) enters into don Quixote's room looking for a muleteer (on the left); also Sancho sleeping in the room.
Don Quixote believes that Maritornes is the landlord's daughter and tries to embrace her. Illustration with very remarkable figures (the muleteer and Maritornes); don Quixote looks extremely young. |
