Commentary | Despite the title, the illustration alludes to don Quixote making his will; around him, the notary, Sancho and the niece.
Don Quixote appears in bed and well-lighted, as center of the whole composition. Excellent engraving. The niece looks like a figure from a painting by the Neoclassical painter David. |
