Commentary The representation is placed in a page where there are references to several knights, real or literary: don Felixmarte of Hircania, don Cirongilio of Thrace, the Great Captain Gonzalo Fernández de Córdoba and Diego García de Paredes. Maybe, the portrait represents Diego García de Paredes, who stopped a whole army with his sword at the entry of a bridge.
Good example of Romanticism liking for legendary and medieval tales.
